Chronic Fatigue

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is extreme fatigue without an underlying medical condition.

It feels like a deep, draining illness that depletes the body’s resources, creating a vicious cycle of insomnia/bad sleep and exhaustion.

The typical Symptoms are:

  • Fatigue that doesn’t improve with sleep

  • poor memory/ concentration

  • unexplained muscle/ joint pain

  • sore throat

  • enlarged lymph nodes

  • headaches, and more.

In Chinese Medicine, fatigue suggests a deficiency of Qi (Energy) and/or Blood, which can lead to a loss of core energy (Jing). Many factors can trigger the initial fatigue, such as

  • Chronic illness

  • Long-term stress

  • nutritional imbalances.

Depending on your specific deficiency make-up, the ideal treatment involves acupuncture and herbal remedies to move & tonify Qi & Blood and calm the Mind.
