What can Chinese Medicine offer?
Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Formulae:
1- Acupuncture points for acute Cold invasion focusses on driving out ‘pathogenic Winds’ – and strengthening your Wei Qi (defensive energy).
These are mostly points on the upper back (Lung area), and around wrists and ankles.
2- Chinese herbal medicine has two major lines of defence:
Yin Qiao San is a phantastic formula that is indicated when the main symptoms are a sore throat, headache, and a mild fever.
Sang Ju Yin is the go-to formula when the main symptom is a cough (there might still be a bit of a scratchy throat).
These formulas work best when taken withing 24h of onset of symptoms.
